Testimonials

For the past five (5) years, I have been working with The Elpis Foundation in planning the Todd Reed McClintock Memorial Golf Outing in State College, PA. Todd was a childhood friend of mine who lost his battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2007 at the young age of 25. This event is so very near and dear to my heart and Elpis makes it possible to have the outing come off without a hitch every single year. They raise funds and awareness for blood cancer research and all of the proceeds are donated, in Todd's name, to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Children’s National Medical Center would like to thank the Elpis Foundation for their support. Strikes for Tikes has raised more than $45,000 in the past three years, benefiting research in experimental therapeutics at Children’s National. The success of our center depends on the collaboration of many organizations like the Elpis Foundation. With your support, we can forge a new vision for pediatric care and pioneer innovative breakthroughs and discoveries that help children lead healthier, happier lives.

On behalf of the entire Four Diamonds Fund, I would like to thank Patrick McNichol and the Elpis Foundation for their unwavering support of the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON) and the Four Diamonds Fund through their annual War on the Shore event. What began seven years ago as a small summer gathering on the New Jersey Shore to help spread awareness of THON and the Four Diamonds Fund has now exploded into an annual event attended by over 400 people and has raised a total of over $90,000 to help conquer childhood cancer! Again, thank you for your amazing generosity!

War On The Shore is an event that has become very near and dear to our family. We are grateful to have been invited to attend the event for a few years, to see and experience first hand what good people can bring to the lives of others when they set their minds to it. Sharing Ashley's story of her journey with Pediatric Cancer helps people realize "why" this money is being raised and "where/how" the money is actually being used. Penn State Students are so passionate about raising money and finding a cure for Pediatric Cancer, and it doesn't stop when they graduate!

THON is something you feel, not something you see. We've been to 8 and now consider ourselves lifers. The money raised by organizations like ELPIS are doing amazing things. I truly believe my son is here today bc of the support provided to the Four Diamonds by these groups. I firmly believe in the money allotted to research, it is why Trent is still here with us today. WOTS is a fun way to support the fight to cure childhood cancer. Dig into those pockets and help another family get to the point my family is. There's nothing like being able to kiss my son goodnight every night.

"On behalf of the entire THON Community, thank you for your continued support of THON!  With your help, this year we raised $7,538,054.36 for children afflicted with pediatric Cancer.  I am tremendously humbled by the selflessness of your Foundation in aiding our fight to conquer pediatric cancer.  I look forward to growing our relationship for THON 2011.  Please accept this obelisk as a small token of our enormous gratitude.  Together we can and we will make a difference in the life of a child with Pediatric Cancer!

Thank you so much to the Elpis Foundation and War on the Shore for putting on such an incredible event that raises money for THON and the Four Diamonds Fund. Through your longstanding support, THON is able to provide outstanding clinical support to the families of the Four Diamonds Fund, as well as sponsor innovative research. Our mission is to conquer pediatric cancer, and fundraising events like this allow us to fulfill our mission. One day we will dance in celebration of a cure of pediatric cancer.
